Keeping busy
I thought I’d offer links to some of the things I’ve done with all of this time off.
- A bit of freelance writing for the Detroit Free Press‘ community editions. If only the check I’ll get for doing the story were as big as the one pictured.
- Two interviews for Assignment Zero, a citizen journalism project. I didn’t write them, I just edited them and focused them. The first is an interview with Kyle MacRae, who cofounded Scoopt.com with his wife. That site takes reader-submitted photos from mobile phones and other sources, and markets them to media outlets. The second interview is with Jon Donley, editor-in-chief of NOLA.com. I’m still finalizing that one, but you get the idea.
You can find my Assignment Zero blog here. It’s not much, but I’ll probably put another few posts there as I finish these two (and maybe a third) interview.
Hope all is well in reader-land.
